BCPG’s Year 2 Mangrove Rehabilitation Project Achieves T-VER Registration

Recently, the “BCPG Mangrove Rehabilitation Project for a Sustainable World – Year 2,” initiated by BCPG Public Company Limited, has been officially registered under Thailand’s Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER) by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The project covers mangrove restoration areas in Mueang Trat and Laem Ngop districts of Trat Province, as well as Khlung District in Chanthaburi Province, spanning a total of 163.87 rai. The restored green areas are expected to sequester approximately 322 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year over a 10-year project period.

Previously, the Year 1 project was registered under the T-VER standard in 2024 and is expected to reduce more than 790 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually.

Both mangrove rehabilitation projects are part of BCPG’s carbon credit initiatives, implemented in collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. The projects cover approximately 450 rai across Samut Songkhram, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chanthaburi, and Trat provinces.

These initiatives reflect BCPG’s ongoing commitment to conserving natural resources and mitigating climate change impacts in a sustainable manner.
